TELOS 93

Descripción

The central dossier of Telos issue 93, is devoted to “Urban Spaces and ICT: Reciprocal Transformations” and was coordinated by Néstor García Canclini (UAM de México), an Argentinian-Mexican anthropologist who plays a significant role in studies on culture.

Its call for papers revealed the necessary demand for an interdisciplinary approach in the heart of social sciences, from communication or cultural studies to sociology or anthropology, and understanding the deep contemporary changes in urban spaces.

In short, this issue of Telos demonstrates that art and culture, information technologies and social changes, very often led by the young generations, intertwine into multiple forms to show a constantly changing world which, despite and above the present financial crisis and its depressing consequences, can fuel hopes for a better world.
